Eyes of a child

If we would all try to live like children sometimes
I wonder why we still wait
And if we all would look through the eyes of a child
I'm sure we would be more awake
Earth is shivering in pain
it's impossible to stay the same
cause her skin is spotted with wars
and she's unable to scream
We are forcing the skies to fall down
To destroy from morning till dawn
Earth's tears are laughed away
So don't expect her to stay forever
She's mapped on paper, hanging on the walls
Like models in a magazine, truth covered with a veil
People should take care, so it doesn't become
the only way we know her.
A blue planet of the past
She changes her dreams from time to time
Spinning around, to make us think
Turning over from side to side
slowly Trying to open peoples eyes and hearts
Earth has a language, all people should learn
The Sky shows the space, people should give
The Wind is the sight, earth's breath
The Rain shows the tears, earth is afraid
The quakes are her anger, her skin so pale
If we save her now, she will rise like a flower in May

Our Planet Earth-Steven M. Hewitt
A billion light years we have traveled
across the infinite gulfs of outer space;
every enigma we've unraveled
in the starry galaxies through which we race,
but now our journey brings us back to
the ethereal planet of blue.
How long it has been I cannot say
since we lived and worked on that picturesque sphere,
but our thoughts haven't faded away
for of all the worlds in space, we loved it here,
and now that our voyage is almost through
we see again our planet of blue.
Ah, but it has been ages
since we tread over that ground.
Who knows how many pages
of history will be found?
For when we left, mankind
was still trying to climb
out of his savagery.
At night at the helm I dream
of those green and fertile fields
and every deep lake and stream
brings to mind such pleasant thrills,
for I've loved this planet
since the first day we met
in all her pageantry.
Yes, O Earthmen, we've been here before.
Your ancestors may remember us still
in your sculptures, paintings and folklore
that hopefully have survived through your combined will. (Fix this)
But wait, what is this? What has happened
to the harmonious world that we once knew?
The so called harmony has ended
leaving but smoldering ashes for us to view,
and we feel our hearts grow sick inside
at the sight of what had been our pride.
We leave this galaxy now Earthmen
for you have left us nothing but your sorrow
so you must rebuild your world again
and should we return eons from tomorrow
we pray there will have been a rebirth
to this world once beautiful....to Earth,
Our Earth.

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
— Percy Bysshe Shelley -"Ozymandias"-1818
